Art Vision

Imagination is more important that knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” Albert Einstein

At Millfields Primary School, our vision for art education is grounded in a deep respect for the power of creativity and expression, a commitment to perseverance and growth, and a strong sense of community and teamwork.  We believe that these values are essential not only for becoming successful artists, but also for developing well-rounded individuals who can thrive in all aspects of their lives. We believe that by instilling these values in our pupils, we can help them to become confident, resilient, and creative individuals who will make a positive impact on the world around them.

Our Art curriculum ensures that all our pupils:

  • Produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their experiences.
  • Become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques.
  • Evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art, craft and design.
  • Know about great artists, craft makers and designers, and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms.
