Governance

The Governing Board forms an important link between the school and the community. The board is split into two committees that meet every term and report back to the Full Governing Board.

Governing Board Chair: Jill Taylor

Achievements & Standards Committee

Committee Chair: Amanda Malam

The Achievement & Standards Committee (A&S) is responsible for ensuring that the school meets the needs of every child and promotes high standards of academic and personal development.

Resources Committee

Committee Chair: Arthur Moran

The Resources Committee is responsible for establishing, reviewing and agreeing the school’s proposals for any financial issues. It also ensures the health and safety and development of the school premises and ensures efficient use of utilities. The committee also reviews and agrees staffing provision.

The Governance Statement for 2015-2016 can be seen using the link below. This document includes details about the work the governing board has completed and future plans for the school.

Disclosure of Pecuniary Interests

The school is required to compile a Register of Pecuniary Interests for staff and governors. Staff are asked to declare any interest they, or a close relative, may have with any local firms from which the school may wish to buy goods and services. Common examples are self-employed contractors such as builders or electricians.

A pecuniary interest is any form of remuneration. The school is not forbidden to trade but the interest should be declared.

All the members of the Governing Board have confirmed that neither they nor their close family have any financial interest in any company/organisation from which the school may wish to purchase goods or services.

If you require any further information please contact the Chair (Jill Taylor) via the school office.
