Our Sports Council meets regularly to discuss future plans for sport at Millfields. The ultimate objective of the Council is for all children at Millfields to enjoy sport, take part in regular sporting activity and compete against children from Millfields and other local schools.

Here you will find updates on recent and future sporting events and competitions. This will include key dates, match reports and photographs from some of the exciting events that children from Millfields have taken part in.

It's been a busy half term with lots of pupils taking part in a range of sporting events and competitions including cross country, quadkids and quicksticks hockey (see photos).

The footballl team have also been busy with lots of fixtures.

Millfields(B) v Acton Lost 1-0

Millfields(A) v Wybunbury Lost 3-1

Millfields(B) v St Annes Lost 5-2

Millfields (Mixed A and B) v Wistaston Church Lane Lost 5-4

The teams are working hard towards their first win of the season.

Thank you Mr Cornes for all your hard work.

Football Thursday 10th November

Crewe Shield

Millfields v Wistaston Berkeley

Well Done to our footballers who turned out at Nantwich Town Football Club in torrential rain, only to have no team to play against.  If there was a cup for resilience, Millfields would definitely have won!

Upcoming Competitions

Gymnastics Year 5/6  10th November 1.30 - 3.30 Camm Street Crewe

Dodgeball KS2 17th November 3 - 5 Malbank High School

Sportshall Athletics 21st November 2.45 - 5 Malbank High School

Sporting Updates

Well done to our gymnasts who travelled to Camm Street in Crewe to compete against some very accomplished gymnasts. All gymnasts performed well but a special mention to our Year 6 Team who came second over all! The judge informed me it was the 'lift in their round offs that made them stand out!'.

Well done to all 13 competitiors and a special thank you to all parents who helped with lifts.

Practise for Sporthall athletics is going well. Dont forget the second practise this Thursday 17th November at Malbank School.
