Year 2

Hello Year 2,

Here are some ideas for home learning... just in case any of us find ourselves unable to attend school. Fingers crossed that this will not be the case. 



A great resource and well worth using We are currently (September 2020) working on place value, then it will be addiiton and subtraction, followed by work on money.

Numbots - An exciting resource available from Times Table Rockstars . The creators of Times Tables Rock Stars have produced a platform for boosting number recognition, addition and subtraction skills, called NumBots. It is important that your child develops efficient mental calculation strategies to add and subtract two-digit numbers, so that they can leave counting on their fingers behind, and NumBots will help do this.

Eventough we have not yet covered mulltiplication in class, it would be a great idea to start having a go at activities based on the 2, 5 and 10 timestables. The login recieved in year 1 will not have changed.

The Oak Academy is a great resource to use at home.  Oak National Academy is an online classroom made by teachers. On the website are lots of different activities for your child to access under 'Key Stage 1'.
