Hi Year 2,
I hope that you are all well, happy and still smiling.
I am so impressed to hear that so many of you are making the most of this strange situation and keeping yourselves super busy at home.
Whenever I check, I can still see that lots of you have been using Education City and Timestable Rockstars, so keep up the good work. Mr Parish and I continue to be impressed by all your efforts. As before, I want to say a massive thank you to the grown-ups who are supporting and guiding you all through this change to your learning.
I have recently uploaded a story onto our YouTube channel, 'The King of Tiny Things'. I will be linking this story to some of the work that I will be setting on Seesaw, which is learning platform that we have started using. You will receive a login, via email, to access Seesaw before Monday. Mr Parish is also sending out further information regarding Seesaw and how it works. It is platform, that we as staff, have not used before so it will be slowly built upon as we all get to grips with how it works. First impressions are that this is an extremely effective learning tool.
From Monday 27th April I will set work for the children in a Choice Board format. The Seesaw activites and Times Table Rock Stars will appear within this list of activties. A change will however occur regarding Education City. I will no longer set specific tasks for the children. Of course, they can still access it when they choose, but now they can select their own activities.
Please click on the link below to reveal your choice board for the week beginning 11th May. Have a go at as many of the activities as you can.
In the meantime, please ask your grown-ups to send me photos/pictures of any new experience you have, or any activities you take part in/complete. I love to hear about what you have all been up to.
Please let me know how you get on with Seesaw and the new Choice Board format. I am always happy to help.
Miss O' Donovan
