Dear Parents,

From Monday March 8th, we are back in school, but here are some areas of learning which can be used if your child has to isolate and therefore is unable to attend school.

Maths

Please continue to use Times Table Rockstars to practise your multiplication.

Additional maths work can be found on the National Academy website Maths lesson units for Year 5 students - Oak National Academy (thenational.academy)- Please look at multiplication and Division lessons 6 - 10 and Fractions lessons 1- 5

English

For English, I would like the children to use the oak academy lessons. Please complete the writing unit - The Happy Prince for writing and the Firework Maker's Daughter by Phillip Pullman reading unit.

Reading

Below is a link to the Oxford Owl free E-book library. There is a wide range of E-books available for your child to read on their own or share with an adult. You are required to create a login to access these but it is all free of charge.

15- 30  minutes each day please and remember to log on to the Accelerated reader website when you have completed your book.

Spelling

To continue with your spelling work, please use the spelling Frame website and revise any of the spelling rules from Year 4 and the Year 5 rules

Please can you also continue to earn the Year 5 Keywords which you have in your pink spelling book.

Foundation subjects

Please use the Oak Academy lessons for Science, History, Geography and RE and I recommend studying the following units.
