Hello Year 2 and welcome back.
We hope that you all had a lovely week off and feel ready for lots of new activities. On Tuesday, the 8th of June, we will begin on the second half of our summer term.
As we ease out of lock down, our time spent learning from home seems like a long time ago. Below are links, just in case we should find ourselves learning from home again. Fingers crossed that this will not be the case as we much prefer to see you all in person.
A great resource and well worth using https://classroom.thenational.academy/subjects-by-key-stage/key-stage-1. We are currently (June 2021) focussing on multiplication and division, addition and subtraction, so that the children feel more confident in these key areas as they prepare to move into key stage two.
Numbots - An exciting resource available from Times Table Rockstars. The creators of Times Tables Rock Stars have produced a platform for boosting number recognition, addition and subtraction skills, called NumBots. It is important that your child develops efficient mental calculation strategies to add and subtract two-digit numbers, so that they can leave counting on their fingers behind, and NumBots will help do this.
