Hi Year 5,

I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and let's hope that 2021 is a better year for everyone. Hopefully, we will all be in school enjoying the exciting lessons which I have planned, but if you are unable to attend school,

here are some activities which you can do during the spring term. 

Updtaed work for Thursday 4th February


Please continue to use Times Table Rockstars to practise your multiplication.

Additional maths work can be found on the National Academy website Maths lesson units for Year 5 students - Oak National Academy ( Please look at area and perimeter lesson 5. We have covered some of this in class so it will be good revision work for the children.


For English, I would like the children to use the oak academy lessons. Please complete the writing unit - How to Train Your Dragon for writing- please complet lesson 6 and 8 and the Demon Dentist reading unit  is now completed , so look at Mary Anning Lessons1 and 2


Below is a link to the Oxford Owl free E-book library. There is a wide range of E-books available for your child to read on their own or share with an adult. You are required to create a login to access these but it is all free of charge.

15- 30  minutes each day please and remember to log on to the Accelerated reader website when you have completed your book.

To continue with your spelling work, please use the spelling Frame website and revise any of the spelling rules from Year 4 and the Year 5 rules 39 to 42

Please can you also continue to earn the Year 5 Keywords which you have in your pink spelling book.

Please use the Oak Academy lessons for Science, History, Geography and RE and I recommend studying the following units.
